The partnership agreement was signed between the Trongsa Dzongkhag administration, two gewogs (Nubi and Dragteen) and College of language and culture studies with a project grant under “Decentralization and Local Governance Project” to enhance citizen engage, with specifically women and youth, in planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting on local governance. The partnership will also foster collaboration between university and local governments in the area of mutual interest in the areas of research and innovation on local governance, transfer of know-how, implementation of projects and programs. The partnership is supported financially by the HELVETAS Country Office and Department of Local Governance over a project duration of six months.
