Her Majesty the Gyalyum Ashi Sangay Choden Wanguchuck visited the College of Language and Cultural Studies on 19th October,2016. Her Majesty the Gyalyum and some high ranking officials from Ministry of Health and UNFPA prioritized their visit to the college to promote advocacy programme on priority public health issues prone to college students. Her Majesty the Gyalyum interacted with the students of the college with health issues that can be sensibly handled and resolved in the long run if every individual take their responsibility.
Towards the other half of the day, Her Majesty spend some time with the faculty and bestowed her appreciation for the recognition of college as a front runner in preserving cultural studies. Her Majesty also mentions, “Her anecdotal experience on students performance on debate were also very much remarkable in the nation as a whole”.
Her Majesty the Gyalyum is officially on twenty dzongkhag tour to sensitize priority public health issues at schools, colleges and far way rural communities. Her Majesty the Gyalyum is also Bhutan’s United Nations Population Fund’s (UNFPA) Goodwill Ambassador . Her Majesty is also patron of Bhutan Textile Museum at Thimphu and advocates in promoting Bhutan’s rich art and cultural heritage.
