Despite being qualified for the college scoring minimum of fifty percent in English and sixty percent in Dzongkha, some students are found facing difficulties in communicating and interacting. In order to identify such students, and their challenges and needs, the college conducts a language competency test every year.

This year, a total of three hundred fifteen students from first year appeared the competency test last Saturday, 10th August, 2019. The students sat for the English and Dzongkha papers each of which lasted an hour.
