Twenty-five faculty members teaching history, political science, and social studies from the College of Language and Culture Studies (CLCS), Sherubtse College, and Samtse College of Education are attending a 10-day advanced seminar at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS).

The seminar is organised by the Royal University of Bhutan, hosted by RIGSS, and facilitated by Dasho Dr. Sonam Kinga. The program explores deep historical contexts and modern enquiries into the governance and sovereignty of the nation.

The week-long Leadership Development Programme for RUB concluded with high-level sessions focused on national transformation:

  • Innovation: Mr. Ujjwal Deep Dahal (CEO, DHI) emphasized shifting from incremental to exponential mindsets and strengthening industry-academia linkages via the Quadruple Helix model.
  • Professionalism: Vice Chancellor Dasho Chewang Rinzin urged the University to lead the national transformation agenda rather than just fitting into it, emphasizing enlightened leadership.
  • Engagement: Dasho Karma Tshiteem focused on coaching, self-awareness, and mindset as the core of an engaged workplace.

The program included sessions on Neuroscience-Based Mindfulness, Emotional Intelligence, and an outdoor expedition to build leadership through teamwork.
