Programme Overview

Scientifically informed. Contemplatively grounded. Ethically led.

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Mindfulness (BA–PM) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate programme designed to explore the human mind through the integration of contemporary psychological science and Bhutanese Buddhist contemplative traditions. Rooted in Bhutan’s cultural heritage and the philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH), the programme prepares students to cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, compassion, and ethical responsibility.

The programme bridges modern psychology with mindfulness practice, enabling students to understand cognition, emotion, and behaviour from both empirical and experiential perspectives. Graduates emerge as reflective practitioners capable of contributing to individual well-being and social harmony.
